hello everyone :)

in my family, we have VERY weird breakfasts... choices range from sushi to curry!
anyway, my family's favourite breakfast dish is fried rice. this is a yummy, healthy and very quick early morning start and even my 8 year old brother helps out in the making of it! only a few ingredients are needed and like most of my dishes, the options are available for personal variation.

you will need
- a small bowl of cucumber (cut into small cubes)
- a small bowl of sweetcorn (frozen or not! it doesn't matter)
- a small bowl of peas (again, these can be frozen)
- some prawns (these are optional - this can be a vegetarian dish)
- soya sauce (dark and light, quantity by preference)
- some cooked rice (see below for ore information)
in regards to the rice, this dish is perfect when you have some left-over rice from the previous day. if you store this rice in a tupperware in the fridge, it will be perfectly available to you when you want to make some fried rice!
method
in a wok, fry off most vegetables (the ones which will take longer to cook) and add rice with soya sauce. this will take under 5 minutes to do in total and thats pretty much all that to it! it sounds too simple, but breakfast can be that easily tasty!

hello everyone,
its me again and today i want to tell you all about possible my favourite meal of all time. chicken katsu curry is a japanese dish which i originally discovered with my family in an incredible restaurant called 'WOW' in north london. it's a good quality, relatively low priced japanese restaurant which is well worth anyone's money.
so, since discovering chicken katsu curry, i became determined to cook it myself. i searched for months for the perfect curry block and ideal ingredients. after months (no kidding) i finally drew up my list:
i cook my rice in a rice cooker but however you prepare it is fine. rice cookers are particularly popular in my family and culture because it is a quick, easy and good way of cooking rice. they come with many different prices but this rice cooker is a safe bet. to cook the chicken, arrange your chicken fillets (rolled in breadcrumb) on a tray. my family use about 2 fillets each. put them in the oven until they are crispy and cooked through. when they are done, chop them into small strips and arrange on your plate. add the requested amount of rice and top with the delicious katsu sauce! youre done and ready to serve up at the table!
i always cook a stir fry vegetable dish with my oriental dishes, for this, use all or some of the vegetables listed above. you will also need soy sauce. just put it in the wok and toss them around, in under 5 minutes, you'll have a delicious, healthy stir fry!

- carrots
- bean sprouts
- peppers (orange is my favourite!)
- courgettes
- leeks
- baby corn
- cabbage

- curry block (Golden Curry is good)
- boiling water

variation
if you are a pescetarian or only eat fish, try this recipe with salmon (but with no breadcrumbs!) it is just as delicious and probably even healthier ;)
thanks for reading, i hope you enjoy trying out this dish. until next time,

hello everyone!
last night, my mum and i made a delicious dish called 'seafood pasta'. we were inspired to first make this dish when we went to sans sebastian in spain. the seafood culture in the area is incredibly tasty, varied and healthy.
here are the ingredients that we use to cook for a family of 5
6. you can now leave this to cool while the pasta cooks.
note to vegetarians: i will put a no-meat meal up soon! and if you can eat fish, taking away the bacon is a good alternative :)
i always like to have a vegetable dish to go with my main course, regardless of how many vegetables the main course already has! i chose to prepare some steamed samphire. samphire is a sea plant, a bit like seaweed. it is salty and it grows on the coast line of british beaches, it is delicious!
prepare the samphire whilst cooking the pasta by steaming it over the cooking spaghetti. the plant should be looking green and healthy but not to firm, dish it into a small bowl and serve to eat hot with the seafood dish. here is a picture of the final meal :)
i hope you all enjoy trying out this recipe, i certainly did! its quick and easy to do and a perfect mid-week treat. its also great for large families because its very easy to make in large quantities.

here are the ingredients that we use to cook for a family of 5
- 1 dressed crab (and some extra crabmeat)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 courgette (chopped into thin sticks)
- some bacon lardons (in little cubes)
- a pinch of chilli flakes
- parsly (to be used as a garnish)
- 1 small leek (chopped up finely)
- spagetti (measured by number of servings)
method
- fry the bacon and garlic off in a pan with some olive oil
- when they are ready, add courgette and leek. the courgette should be slice into medium sized sticks and the leek should be finely chopped
- toss the contents around with a pinch of chilli flakes
- when they look nearly ready, add the dressed crab. if 1 crab is not enough, use another one OR use some tinned crab, its still delicious but dressed crab is the nicest :)
- garnish the seafood mix with parsley and squeeze with lemon.
7. as soon as the pasta is ready, drain it and put some into a serving dish.
8. immediately toss the spaghetti among the seafood dish, trying to evenly distribute the seafood.
9. keep adding more pasta and seafood mix until you have a large dish of mixed content.
10. add some olive oil while stirring the mixture to prevent sticking
i advise that you serve the dish immediately so that it is still hot and fresh!

hi, im the proud owner of a small, 8 week old kitten called teabag. teabag has been in my family's company for almost a week now and we love her to bits. before we got teabag, we had two cats called pocket and pouch. sadly, pouch passed away last year :( even so, teabag is everything we could have asked for, especially being the niece of pouch himself! except from looking after pocket and teabag, i spend my time shopping, reading, meeting up with friends and cooking. almost every day i bake or cook a new meal or cake. im going to share my passion right here, with teabag next to me. i hope you enjoy following my culinary progress for the time being :)
until next time,
until next time,
Tx
